We are delighted to invite internationally renowned energy and sustainability scholar Prof. Benjamin K. Sovacool to give a talk titled "Accelerating energy and low-carbon transitions as an #interdisciplinary_social_science_challenge," offering an interdisciplinary social science perspective on the "speed" and "timing" of energy and low-carbon transitions. 🌏全球正加速邁向淨零與低碳轉型，但能源系統的轉型究竟需要多久？過去主流研究多認為需歷經數十年至上百年，但近年實證研究顯示，在適當條件下，轉型有可能加速進行。
The world is accelerating toward net-zero and low-carbon transitions—but how long does an energy system transition actually take? Mainstream research has long suggested transitions take decades to over a century, but recent empirical studies show that, under the right conditions, transitions can be accelerated.
